It's self service. Ambiance is everyday casual. Their food court is good. I wish I had got their 2 food combo but I didn't the last time I went. I recommend you trying their food. Plus their grocery store inventory is a lot to choose from.

Did you know that if you pick any of the fish in the seafood department... not only will they clean your fish for free but ALSO FRY it for free??? I've heard of this for a while and never tried until recently! I picked the talapia because they had a special for $2.99 per pound. My fish cost around $6 and after 8 minutes later it came out piping hot from the fryer! I always dread to fry fish in a pan because it pops and I afraid of losing an eye one day from the popping hot oil.... Now my life got easier because I can have fry fish from 99 ranch. Pick any fish! then they will clean it and give you a sticker to pick up when it's done. The fish will be wrapped in aluminum foil and hot! It was so crispy and so good! I ate the fish with rice at home but with the left over fish I made fish congee and it was so good! Do I recommend 99 ranch? Yes! There is also a food area where you can get very affordable food read meals and dim sum! I usually get the chicken feet there which are decent! The sweet and sour pork and eggplant with fried rice are my favorites! I can not wait to return to get another fry fish! I'm gonna try another type of fish like sea bass and make a fish spring roll! :)

I was lucking for an Asian market and boy is this a huge market!! I was making a new recipe that called for various ingredients that I needed to get. A bit intimidating, Took a while to find what I needed ( because packing not in English of course and I didn't expect it to be ) but found what I needed. Need to come back and spend more time here. great place to shop

Needed supplies for tea from an Asian Grocery store so I checked Yelp and found 99 Ranch. First let me say the entire area was filled with Asian stores and restaurants. That was fun for us. The parking lot was full on a Sunday at 11 am and the parking spots are very narrow. However, we found a spot and was able to explore. Inside is bright and everything was well stocked and looked fresh. They have a bakery, juice shop, and a restaurant that smelled delicious. We had to get lunch on the way out. It was busy and a little complicated to order if you are not used to it, but it was delicious and worth the wait! My hubby loved the orange chicken and I favored the sweet and sour ribs. The isles are narrow and busy. It's best to have pictures of the items you need, if you are not sure. Everything is labeled above in English and Chinese for your convenience. And please bring your own bags, they don't offer any. Overall it was a good experience and we plan to go back again. Especially for more food!

Well, I'm here to recommend the Bakery/Cafe, but I want to tell you that I LOVE THIS SUPERMARKET, too! The deli is fantastic, but I'm allergic to shellfish, and I don't eat pork so I don't really eat there. I like to bring my computer and sit in the bakery 9-11am. The only bummer is they do not provide WiFi. I use my hotspot! When I get there, I get two amazing tea eggs and a hot matcha latte. By around 10am, they've really filled out the case with fresh buns. I really recommend the scallion bun! It's self serve. So fun! The true challenge is that - by 11am, the people-watching at the deli gets really good. It's hard to focus on work while all sorts of people from all walks of life head to the deli speaking at least a dozen different languages! The bakery at 99 Ranch is my happy place.

Tried their rice bowls for lunch and it was under $10 and it was extremely filling and flavorful. I would recommend it for sure. 99 ranch is also a hit for cheap groceries and fresh vegetables. The staff are always quick to help!! Give 99 ranch a try

Ranch 99 is Austin's de facto Taiwanese supermarket, often preferring to sell Taiwanese produce and products over anything made elsewhere. For goods that certain countries are known for, you'll find products from those countries (for example, glutinous rice flour from Thailand). This review is for their deli section, which sells dim sum all day. We ordered BBQ Pork Buns, dumplings, sesame balls, radish cake, and soy milk, and we paid about $16 for everything. All the food we received was hot, fresh, and ready to enjoy. The BBQ Pork Buns have a sweetened bun with a delectable pork filling. The pork dumplings were plump and full of flavor. Our sesame balls had just the right chewiness and red bean paste filling. The radish cake was grilled and seasoned perfectly. Last but not least, the soy milk was very tasty--so much so that it reminded me of freshly made soy milk in Taiwan. When we arrived, there was no line; we were greeted and serviced immediately. We were able to find a table near the deli and bakery. Few people were there for a Saturday morning, which made for an enjoyable dining experience. It can otherwise get hectic during lunch and dinner, especially on the weekends. We had a great experience eating at Ranch 99's deli and will continue to return whenever we're in the area!

When it gets a little crowded, it gets way crowded! The aisles are a bit narrow and there's so much to see/grab that it can be difficult to maneuver around other shoppers. The selection is great and we love the bakery and fresh items. They have some really good Deal of the Week (and they are clearly noted on the shelves).
